If you have configured your AppliTrack system to accept applications from internal candidates as described in Preferences - Internal Applications, it is important to understand the impact that this will have on the job postings you generate and advertise online.
Setting the Internal Application preference to value other than None, your "start links" will change to show an Internal Applicants Only section which permits internal candidates to begin an application as well as review the current postings open to internal candidates.
Also, your job posting form will change to include a new options in the section titled Display Info as shown in the following image.
Use the new Depends on Internal/External option when Internal and External applicants will have different time frames to view and apply for the position. The Internal and External sections control the appearance of the posting to internal and external applicants of their respectively.
In each section:
With an Internal Application preference to a value of For Both Job IDs and Pools or For Job IDs Only, you are also able to further configure the pages which appear to each of the candidate types (internal and external) through the Assigned Application Pages tab (1). Using the image below as an example, the column labeled "On External Application?" (2) shows the pages that will appear to external candidates for this posting - "Experience", "Education", "Education (cont.)", "Certification", etc.. The column labeled "On Internal Application?" (3) shows the pages that will appear to internal candidates for this posting - "Current Employment Information", "Experience", "Certification", etc.. Notice that you have the ability to request a different set of information for an external candidate than is required for an internal candidate.
Once submitted to AppliTrack, internal applicants appear much same way as external applicants. When an internal application is submitted it is tagged with the word "internal" for easy identification as in the following image.
